Director of Arts & Film: Are you someone who appreciates and understands the power of artwork and its connection as a community organizing tool? As a trusted advisor, the Director of Arts & Film serves on the organization's Executive Committee as a consultant to our leadership on arts and film-related programs/ project development and acts in a leadership capacity to build talent within the organization. WHAT YOU WILL DO: Responsible for planning, organizing, directing and controlling organization-wide activities as they relate to arts and film education advocacy, development of arts and film programs/projects, marketing strategy, and strategic direction in the supervision and appointment and evaluation of project managers managing the organization's cultural arts and film programs/projects Sits as President of the Media & Marketing Committee; responsible for recruiting qualified committee members Develop and host committee meetings to discuss matters related to arts and film programs/projects, event planning, budget development, fundraising, departmental policy and procedure development, and short and long-term goals for the organization's community and advocacy work; participates and attends meetings concerning the revision, improvement and expansion of arts and film programs/projects and offer recommendations to Board of Directors Develop and manage department budget to assure operations are realistic in terms of current economic and cultural environment and overall organizational objectives Resolves procedural and operational challenges Coordinates all activities and program/project functions with project managers, staff directors, university, city, and local and national arts organizations Oversees research and analysis of data to maintain department efficiency and effectiveness Collaborates with Program Director to respond to organization's clients involved in arts and film development programs/projects Performs/develops mathematical calculations, statistical computations, and financial and cost analysis reports for programs/projects related to department activities Produce and edit film projects in form of full feature and short film documentaries, animation, and social media skits to disseminate across organizational media platform and other such networks Performs other related duties as assigned or necessary WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED: Preferred Bachelor's of Arts with emphasis in Film & Digital Media (concentration in production) or Business Management Experience in personnel management, budget preparation, administration, and monitoring Any combination of training, education, and/or experience in film production, editing, publishing, event planning, marketing, self-publishing, developing influencer relations, and/or fundraising The ability to develop innovative marketing strategies to maximize earned and contributed income The ability to develop programs and presentations; create opportunities to increase the effectiveness of the organization and expand its influence The ability to clearly articulate the organization's vision and mission in deliverables The ability to listen, negotiate, and collaborate with diverse groups and management teams, and demonstrate strong leadership and interpersonal skills The ability to write, read, visualize and adapt written material for film production
