A Joy Kindergarten focuses on providing early childhood learning and development. Pre and primary education for the children in rural and urban areas as well as provide the area with several and various additional resources like contributing to communities surrounding the school with services through improvement of education for children. Description

A Joy Kindergarten" is a kindergarten located in Mafinga, in the Iringa district, one of the poorest regions in western Tanzania. It was established under a community based group called A JOY GROUP, using a modern pedagogical approach, this school is the only one to offer free education and free food to 122 children aged 2 to 8, sometimes without resources.

The project has both fee paying and non fee paying, the fee paying are helping the ones who can't afford to pay for school. Since 2017, when the project was created, 168 children have been able to receive education at this pre-school. In the region people would eat as much breakfast as they could, simply because there was no guarantee of lunch or dinner that day. The school only survives thanks to the support of donors and charities
