Orchard Village

Description

With volunteer support, Orchard Village enables 300 men, women and children with developmental disabilities to live their best lives. Our agencies provides to those we support:

• housing -- 12 community integrated living arrangements (CILA's); and independent, supported housing, including apartments;
• day programs -- InOVations focuses on pre-employment skills with a goal of a competative paying job for participants; DiscOVer focuses on participants whose primary goals are social, recreational, and enrichment activities;
• employment services -- support participate to gain integrated, competitive-wage jobs within their communities;
• recreational therapy -- support the social and recreational needs of our program participants through activities like gardening, playing sports, competing in Special Olympics, acting in a play, and creating music and artwork;
• behavioral health -- our new behavioral health clinic provides one-on-one and group therapy for participants suffering from mental illness;
• an independent high school -- beyond traditional academics, students learn how to live independently, gain employment, or go on to college.
