Mission Statement

The Santa Cruz Elks Lodge serves disabled children, veterans, and our youth in wide range of activities. We are a proud organization with roots back to 1868 and thousands of Elks. Elks are American Citizens who want to save its great values, make sure its people are healthy and happy; and who love life and want to contribute to it, as well as to share it. As members, we find there is nothing better than serving our community through the various activities and charities supported by our local Elks Lodge.

Description

We have a variety of needs that change with the seasons. But, there are two areas that remain constant: Bingo, YALE and the Snack Shack. Our weekly Bingo games are for the benefit of our scholarship programs. We are in need of some folks that will volunteer in a variety of capacities, from checking people in to calling. The games run from 6pm - 10pm every Tuesday. The Snack Shack is open from April to October and needs people to BBQ as well as cook inside the Snack Shack with microwaves and fryers. The Snack Shack is open 7 days per week from 12:30pm to 6pm during those months. YALE stands for Youth Activities & Learning with Elks. It is a program for children 4 - 12 years old. For $5, they get dinner, crafts and projects. It is open the first Friday of the month Nov. - May, and every Friday during the summer. We need helpers/teacher aids. We can have as many as 15 -20 kids at a time.
