Description
Carle is a level 1 Trama center that cares for the most critically ill and injured patients. The Carle Auxiliary was founded in 1959 by dedicated women who developed a diverse team of volunteers to offer comfort and helping hand in areas throughout the hospital. The Auxiliary, as well as Volunteer Services department work closely together towards giving volunteers a place to feel like they are making a difference in the lives of our patients, as well as being a friendly face for our patients who may be having the worst day of their lives. There are a variety of opportunities for adults, teens, and college students. Adults can volunteer through our Auxiliary, to create a better experience for our patients. Our student program is one of the largest in Illinois, utilizing 500 teen & college students per semester. There are opportunities to volunteer in person and virtually based on your preference and hospital needs. If you would like to share your musical talents, our Creative Arts Music program will allow you to share your musical talents.
