Mission Statement
The Atlanta Chapter of African American Real Estate Professionals (AAREP ATL) is a non-profit organization whose mission is to advance current and emerging commercial real estate leaders from diverse backgrounds through exposure to industry resources, relationships, mentorship, community outreach projects, scholarships, business development, and career opportunities while providing a diverse talent pool to corporations and small businesses.
Description
The organization was erected 29 years ago and is headquartered in Washingon, D.C. The Atlanta chapter was founded in 2020 during the onset of the pandemic. The timing was essential considering the civil unrest that soon followed. Minorities in commercial real estate needed a safe place to find support, as the industry is majorly underrepresented. In a year's time, we are almost at 200 members, last month we had over 117,000 hits to our website, we were #3 in the top 10 LinkedIn commercial real estate organizations in terms of follower growth. We have almost 2,000 followers on LinkedIn and our Instagram reached 237+ growth last month. We are growing but we need help and lots of resources to continue on this path.
