Description

Hospice Volunteers are an integral part of the Interdisciplinary team consisting of a medical director, nurses, therapists, social workers, chaplains and home health aides. Volunteer roles consist of direct patient visits at home, reading, music, pet therapy, reiki, veteran recognition, and other administrative duties. Hospice volunteers find their work emotionally meaningful and gratifying. The volunteer opportunity is extremely flexible based on the volunteers' location and schedule; volunteers are valued members of our hospice care team.

The vetting was thorough and training was great. Met with my volunteer coordinator on the phone and in person and she was very nice and answered more of.my questions. Time commitment is minimal and they work your schedule. All it takes is your willingness to give back to get the process started.
