Our Rockville warehouse serves as the central hub for collecting and distributing essential items to women and folks experiencing homelessness, impoverishment, or distress. As a Warehouse Support Volunteer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operations of our warehouse and making a meaningful impact on the lives of those in need. Responsibilities: - Assist with sorting, organizing, and inventory management of donated items, including bras, underwear, and menstrual hygiene products. - Assist in receiving, unloading, and loading donation shipments. - Maintain a clean and organized warehouse space, adhering to safety and sanitation guidelines. - Collaborate with fellow volunteers and staff to efficiently fulfill orders and meet donation targets. - Occasionally participate in community outreach events or donation drives to raise awareness and gather essential items. Affiliate Directors serve as the local representatives of ISTG, fostering connections and awareness within their communities. Key Responsibilities: Community Engagement: Actively engage with local businesses, organizations, and individuals to foster partnerships and support for ISTG initiatives. Drive Coordination: Plan, organize, and execute donation drives, working closely with community partners to maximize impact. Outreach and Awareness: Raise awareness about ISTG's mission and the importance of essential item donations through various channels, including social media, local events, and community outreach. Logistics and Distribution: Coordinate efficiently collecting and distributing donated items to local shelters and organizations, ensuring a smooth process.
