Exact responsibilities may vary depending on the primary focus at the time of recruitment. The work involves screening and on-boarding into the YP1 organization. Main Responsibilities: ● Identify the need for volunteers and assign a Point of Contact within the Advisory Organization. ● Build a Recruitment strategy such as posting volunteer requirements on online platforms and social media outlets such as Catchafire, VolunteerMatch, Idealist, Create the Good, Points of Light Engage, Taproot Plus, Linkedin, etc. ● Collaborate with local businesses and schools as applicable. ● Reach out to previous volunteers. ● Conduct reviews of volunteer applicants. ● Assess applicants and select who matches the need ● Train Recruitment volunteers as applicable. ● Work closely with the leadership team to continuously evolve our volunteer experience by optimizing internal events, onboarding, communication, feedback mechanisms, and members’ interactions; ● Monitor, analyze, and identify strategic gaps and needs at in terms of Ambassadors / Young Ambassadors EEO Statement: YourPassion1st is an equal opportunity employer. In this role you will be a part of supporting a number of events, workshops, and festivals, and so flexibility, and good note taking and organization will be essential. Goals: Grow the brand by raising awareness through Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, etc. Increase engagement with local figures, schools & business owners in the art, music, entertainment, sports, and culinary spaces Establish meaningful relationships through brand and content Responsibilities: Attend weekly marketing strategy meeting or provide weekly asynchronous updates Provide design support and strategy support to the Marketing Steering Committee lead Complete monthly design deliverables including designing digital flyers, social media assets, brand collateral and support website design updates Expectation of hours {minimum 5 hours per week}: 1 hour for weekly meeting or asynchronous updates 3 hours for completing design deliverables 1 hour for design deliverable review and implementing revisions Required Skills: 2-5 years of experience working in graphic design in a professional capacity Experience with design tools including Canva, Adobe Illustrator Experience with work software including Slack, Monday.com, Google Suite (gmail, Google Slides, Google Docs, Google Sheets) EEO Statement: YourPassion1st is an equal opportunity employer. While day-to-day operations are led by Founder and Chief Executive officer (CEO), & Chief Innovation & Engagement Officer (CIEO), the Board-CEO/CIEO relationship is a partnership, and the appropriate involvement of the Board is both critical and expected. This is an extraordinary opportunity for an individual who is passionate about YourPassion1st’s mission and who has a track record of board leadership. Selected Board Members will have achieved leadership stature in business, government, philanthropy, or the nonprofit sector. His/her accomplishments will allow him/her to attract other well-qualified, high-performing Board Members. Specific Board Member responsibilities include: Leadership, Governance & Oversight: ● Serve as a trusted advisor to the CEO as s/he develops and implements YourPassion1st’s strategic plan ● Review outcomes and metrics created by YourPassion1st for evaluating its impact, and regularly measuring its performance and effectiveness using those metrics; reviewing agenda and supporting materials prior to board and committee meetings ● Approve YourPassion1st annual budget, audit reports, and material business decisions; being informed of, and meeting all, legal and fiduciary responsibilities ● Assist the CEO and board chair in identifying and recruiting other Board Members ● Partner with the CEO and other board members to ensure that board resolutions are carried out ● Serve on committees or task forces or on special assignments ● Represent YourPassion1st to stakeholders; acting as an ambassador for the organization ● Ensure YourPassion1st’s commitment to a diverse board and staff that reflects the communities YourPassion1st serves Fundraising Responsibilities: YourPassion1st Board Members will consider a philanthropic priority and make annual gifts that reflect that priority. So that YourPassion1st can credibly solicit contributions from foundations, organizations, and individuals, YourPassion1st expects to have 100% of Board Members make an annual contribution that is commensurate with their capacity. Objective Of This Role: ● Promote awareness of the organization’s mission and work ● Cultivate a network of dedicated donors and volunteers ● Spot new fundraising/grant opportunities ● Plan fundraising initiatives to help the organization meet financial goals ● Form strong relationships with external stakeholders ● Ensure major donors are satisfied and kept in the loop Daily & Monthly Responsibilities: ● Research individuals, corporations, and foundations that may be interested in gift-giving ● Effectively convey the organization’s mission, vision, and programs to potential donors ● Craft grant applications and fundraising proposals ● Strategize and successfully execute fundraising campaigns ● Organize fundraising events while overseeing teams of volunteers ● Manage a budget and track where goals are being met Service on YourPassion1st’s Board of Directors is without remuneration, except for administrative support, travel, and accommodation costs in relation to Board Members’ duties. Board Terms: YourPassion1st Board Members will serve a three-year term to be eligible for re-appointment for unlimited additional terms. Event Coordination: Plan and oversee fundraising events, coordinating volunteer teams to ensure the events' success. Budget Management: Effectively manage a budget, monitoring progress toward financial goals, and making data-driven decisions to optimize fundraising efforts. Stakeholder Engagement: Build and nurture strong relationships with external stakeholders, including individuals, corporations, and foundations, to advance the organization's mission. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience. Demonstrated experience in Sponsorship/Fundraising management. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with team members and volunteers. Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively. Proficiency in using various tools and online platforms for donor recruitment and communication.
