Help deliver the healing power of music to hospice patients. Music can reach those who can no longer make sense of words spoken, and for those who can, it can reach deeper and provide a message of love and of connection to a larger world beyond the sick bed. Music creates vibrations that are beyond words. Music comforts, strengthens, clarifies. It touches the soul. The Volunteer Musician plays and/or sings songs in the patients rooms and interacts with patients, their families and/or facility staff. If you want to be an integral part of our mission, and build relationships that make a difference, come join us! Qualifications: Musical talent & experience; desire to serve others, make a difference & have fun! Must be over the age of 18.

Are you a CERTIFIED ANIMAL-ASSISTED THERAPY PROVIDER?? If your pet has been certified as an animal-assisted helper, we would love to discuss ways you and your pet can bring joy to our hospice patients. *** you must have your own pet with certification*** The end-of-life journey can be difficult for loved ones. Traditions Health has volunteers available that will sit with patients, read to them, or just spend time with them allowing loved ones to the comfort of knowing patients are well cared for while they are away. We would love to offer pet therapy to our patients that are in facilities. This can be so calming and soothing for our hospice patients. Our Volunteer Coordinators match the right volunteers with the right patient to meet that patient’s needs.
