HUES increases and maintains health equity for Women of Color by promoting advocacy, fostering family and community conversations, and by engaging in research centered on the health and wellness experiences of women of color.
Description
HUES was established in July 2022, after years of reflection and preparation to train Women of Color as health and wellness advocates, to teach individual Women of Color about self-efficacy and advocacy, to foster and facilitate opportunities for health related conversations among families and community members in safe and captivating spaces, and finally, to promote and create inclusive research centered on the the health and wellness related experiences of Women of Color.
