Mission Statement
MISSION The organization's mission is to Provide a comprehensive and sustainable reprieve of poverty, biodiversity loss, misfortune, disability, destitution and hopelessness experienced by individuals, communities and environment in partnership with organizations' involved in the same. VISION Development Alert exists to address the Causes of poverty, Biodiversity loss and Marginalization and their Consequence. It will be ensured within communities through: • Implementation of sustainable projects and programs that; • Empower those in need, in which • Developing the capabilities of individuals, families, groups and communities and, • Enhancing the social, economic, political and environmental fabric of society in which • Partnership with likeminded Individuals, Communities, groups and Organizations is paramount.
Description
Development Alert is a registered Community Based Not-for-Profit, Nongovernmental Organization operating in Uganda. Development Alert is involved in Empowering Vulnerable and Poor communities on Livelihoods Improvement and Environmental wellbeing. Founded in 2019, Development Alert is the 2024 Award Winner of the Most Dedicated Local Community-Based Support Organization-Uganda by UK’s based Publisher Acquisition International- https://www.acquisition-international.com/winners/development-alert/.

AREA OF FOCUS
1) Education (sponsorship, supply of scholastic materials, promoting literacy, construction of school infrastructure among others).
2) Promoting access to clean and safe water.
3) Economic Empowerment.
4) Promoting Environmental conservation initiatives.
ACHIEVEMENTS
Drilled a Community Borehole, supported over 634 needy school going children, Supplied Nine (9) Brand New Sewing Machines and startup Fabrics. Trained Fifteen (15) young people in life-skills, 10 elderly people, supported 50 members of Kisia Village Savings and Loans Association with startup funding and planted over 7000 trees in partnership with Uganda Wildlife Society.
