Mission Statement

The City of Stockton Clean City Initiative is a collaborative effort between the City Manager's Office, Public Works Department, Stockton Police Department, Republic Services, Waste Management, and community volunteers. Our Vision: "Stockton will become the best city in America to live, raise a family, and grow a business."

Description

The Clean City Initiative provides community members with opportunities to perform litter cleanup projects, participate in beautification activities, and organize volunteer-led community cleanups.

Community Cleanup activities include removal of illegally dumped materials and litter abatement to reduce trash accumulation across the City.

Beautification activities include paint refreshment, tree/flower planting, weeding and pruning at City parks.

Community groups and individual volunteers of all ages (minors with parental permission) are welcome to participate in planned events or seek assistance with organizing a community cleanup of their own.

There was a big turnout and a wide variety of things to do, and no restrictions. My group had finished painting the sign and then were able to help paint benches and pick up trash as well.
