Mission Statement

Youth Volunteer Corps (YVC) is a youth development nonprofit that works with youth ages 11-18 to promote volunteerism and service-learning, while working to address the needs of the community. We engage youth in team-based service experiences that build life and work skills while inspiring a lifetime ethic of service. Our goal is to create service-learning experiences that are rewarding, challenging, and educational for our youth.

Description

Youth Volunteer Corps recruits teens ages 11-18 to volunteer their time and service to help local nonprofits and learn more about real issues in their communities. Our program cultivates a greater understanding and appreciation for diversity while trying to promote a lifetime ethic of service in youth. There are three components to our evidence-based program model: social, service, reflection. This program model helps youth earn service hours in a unique and structured way, while building a stronger work ethic among our volunteers!
