Bingo Hall Volunteer - Rama Gaming

Scarborough Health Network Foundation (SHNF) is proud to partner with the Rama Gaming House for their Charity Gaming program. A portion of the proceeds from the monthly charity Bingo sessions are granted back to SHN Foundation to support lifesaving health care. Volunteers help support our hospital, generating $1,000 per session. We are proud partners since 2020 and look forward to having our volunteers represent SHN Foundation at the Rama Toronto East Hall. We are seeking long-term committed volunteers to assist with these charity sessions and represent SHN Foundation, on a monthly basis. All sessions are two hours long. Volunteers must attend in-person sessions. Volunteers must give 24 hour notice if they cannot show up for their shift. There are financial repercussions when volunteers do not attend their shift. Location: Rama Gaming House - Toronto East (991 Kennedy Rd, Scarborough, ON M1P 2K5) Please see below for requirements and general duties: Duties: Arrive 15 minutes early for each session Greet and welcome patrons Assist with set up and tear down bingo sessions, as required Light food service support to customers Handing out materials to customers Requirements: Must be 19 years of age or older Must have access to reliable transportation Must be able to attend in-person sessions Must be able to be on feet for a couple hours at a time Completion of a mandatory online training session, along with an in-person orientation Must abide by dress code Thank you for your interest in volunteering with Scarborough Health Network Foundation.

BINGO HALL VOLUNTEER - DOLPHIN GAMING

Did you know that you can raise over $1000 for Scarborough Hospitals with just 2 hours of your time? Join us in this charitable gaming initiative as a Bingo Hall Volunteer! At Scarborough Health Network (SHN) Foundation, we are committed to shaping the future of care by raising funds to improve the quality of hospitals in Scarborough. We have teamed up with Dolphin Gaming as part of their Charitable Gaming program to aid in our fundraising efforts. In return for volunteers assisting them with tasks, a portion of the proceeds from their charity Bingo sessions are granted back to SHN Foundation. Each volunteer helps bring in an average of $1700 per 2 hour session! This is why we need your help. We are looking for long term, committed volunteers to assist with these charity sessions and represent SHN Foundation. Address: 1911 Eglinton Ave E, Scarborough, ON M1L 2L6 About this role: Each session is 2 hours and 15 minutes 2 volunteers must be present Arrive 5-10 minutes early to sign in Follow dress code of collared SHN Foundation shirt and name tag (provided), and dark pants Tidy up (tuck in chairs, wipe down tables and slot machines, discard any trash, return trays, etc.) Walk around and monitor the room Be polite to customers and provide assistance when applicable Requirements: Must be 19 years of age or over Attend in-person Reliable transportation Clear communication with volunteer coordinators (confirmation of attendance, notice of absence, etc.) Completion of online training modules and in-person orientation Ability to stand and walk continuously for the duration of the shift How to succeed in this role and benefits: Be friendly and offer excellent customer service Be timely and follow tasks Tasks are simple and not strenuous Volunteer appreciation (gift cards, events, etc.) You are directly raising money for hospitals in Scarborough, which will make a tremendous impact.
