Mission Statement
Innovations in poverty alleviation High-quality early education promises a great future. But what opportunities await a 20-year-old with poor education? This is our focus and area of action.
Description
FEA is a unique poverty alleviation program operating in North India’s Hindi belt and to date about a quarter-million students have enrolled in it. Our free English classes build ethical, productive mindsets and core employability skills, including English language and digital literacy. Additionally, FEA provides career guidance and mentorship.
FEA currently operates in over 6 states (North India) and uses around 159 branches to provide supplemental training to over 40,000 young students between the age of 17 to 27 years, who have recently entered, or who are on the verge of entering India’s workforce.
Freedom Employability Academy's (FEA) Mentorship Program aims to help students from low-income backgrounds gain a better understanding of various professional options that are available, which of those might be suitable for them, and what they need to do to get there. You can volunteer for the Mentorship Program and make a significant difference by just being present and taking an interest in the lives of these students. The long-term impact of such mentoring is invaluable; students who are mentored perform better in interviews, work better in teams and interact better in social situations.
