Mission Statement
Showing God's love and turning our pain into purpose by providing care packages that help improve the quality of time a grieving parent has with their baby after experiencing a second trimester miscarriage.
Description
We provide care packages to hospitals so they can supply them to grieving parents that have experienced a second trimester miscarriage. Volunteers are what helps us run and continue to support care package efforts. The goal is to expand our hospital outreach and in order to do so, we need assistance crocheting, sewing and increasing fundraising efforts.
Our hospital care packages consist of two key items; a "Swaddle" and a "Thomas Cradle". The Thomas Cradle is made of several layers of different material, sewn together. It's used to provide stability when baby is being held, as well as aiding in keeping baby's delicate skin hydrated, an essential part of delaying our bodies natural process to decomposing, thus improving the quality of time a parent has while holding their baby. The swaddle is a handmade crochet blanket type item that goes around the Thomas Cradle and snuggles baby, serving as a beautiful keepsake for parents long after they leave the hospital. Additionally, there are several other items inside each care package to hopefully bring a little comfort to the recipient.
