Foster Cats/Kittens

We get numerous requests DAILY from around the state asking for help to save kitty lives! We do our best to help but we can only take what we have space for...and that is where you come in! Apply to be a foster today and foster whatever you feel called to help with...a group of kittens needing to gain weight (eating slurry/wet food already), moms/babies (moms do alll the work), pregnant moms, adult kitties, or bottle babies (experience is preferred)! What does fostering look like? We provide the food, litter, and any vetting required! And we also have an amazing group of experienced coordinators available to help with any and all situations that may happen! You are never alone in your fostering journey!!! ALSO we have three locations where our adoptable kitties go to find their homes! Most people have their fosters an average of 2-4 weeks depending on age, health, and adoptions. Seeking volunteers to assist with our adoptable cats/kittens at the MWC Petsmart location. Volunteers will assist with cleaning kennels, cleaning litter boxes, providing food/water, and helping to socialize and provide playtime for our adoptable cats/kittens. Volunteers are needed for both AM and PM weekly shifts, or if you are interested but can only assist every once in a while we do need fill in volunteers as well.

Adoption Event Coordinator: Dog Events

We are looking for organized individual(s) who love dogs and would enjoy helping to coordinate adoption events within the OKC metro. Tasks for coordinating events would include: communicating with vendors to reserve date/time for the adoption event, communicating with fosters to see who can attend the event, assisting with advertising the event on our social media, recruiting volunteers to help with event set-up/tear-down and monitoring the dogs at the event, etc. These tasks can be split up among a team of individuals, and our admin team can assist with introduction into this role.

Save Haven Animal Rescue is a volunteer-driven, no kill, animal rescue servicing the Oklahoma City area and surrounding areas. We aim to help re-home, foster dogs and cats while providing services for pet adoption, animal awareness throughout our communities.

Description

Safe Haven Animal Rescue, Inc. is a non-profit 501(c)(3), charitable rescue organization dedicated to finding homes for homeless and abandoned cats & dogs. We rescue the majority of our animals from shelters where they are destined to die. Others come from puppy mills or from pet owners who are unable or unwilling to care for their pets any longer. At this time, Safe Haven Animal Rescue, Inc. is limited to finding homes for animals who are being cared for in foster homes. Our cats when available for adoption will be at the Yukon, Midwest City or Norman Petsmart Catteries. Our dogs will be adopted out of foster care.
