History: Project Send It (PSI) is a 501(c)3 public non-profit with the mission to make rock climbing accessible to any child. We engage dedicated volunteers to bring the benefits of climbing to children who face barriers to access. Through climbing, we create opportunities to experience healthy risk-taking, build trust and confidence, and develop problem-solving skills. Kids who climb with us grow to feel comfortable and welcome in all the places people climb, from gyms to crags. Project Send It gets kids climbing to build stronger kids, safer communities, and future stewards of beloved outdoor spaces. Our all-volunteer Board of Directors believes in continuous engagement of new leadership. We are a working board seeking a Director of Marketing with the necessary skill set and passion to both sustain our work and help PSI expand. Position Description: The Director of Marketing is responsible for the writing, production, coordination, and maintenance of the materials required to successfully market the activities of Project Send It. The focus of this role is on achieving results which are aligned with the larger picture of the organization and its strategic goals. Essential Functions Oversee and coordinate the Marketing committee of volunteers and be accountable for: Creating and maintaining general marketing strategy and marketing plans for specific events. Writing, creating and maintaining all marketing materials for all PSI marketing purposes. Assist in the organizational branding initiatives including website enhancement, social media presence and developing broader exposure. Working with Events, Programming, Volunteer and other committees to assist with marketing efforts in alignment with the organizational goals and objectives. Support and coordinate Chapter marketing efforts. Expanding the Marketing committee volunteer membership and capabilities. Competencies Ability to create teams and cause teamwork. Innovation and creativity in generating ideas for quick response. The skills gained through climbing carry over into the participants’ day-to-day lives. Ultimately, getting young people into climbing helps build healthier kids and stronger, safer communities. Our Board of Directors believes in continuous engagement of new leadership. We are a working board seeking a Director of Programming for the Denver Chapter with the necessary skill set and passion to both sustain our work and help PSI expand. Position Description: The Director of Programming is an externally facing role managing relationships in the community with the after school, school, and summer camp programs we partner with to provide climbing. The Director of Programming also creates and maintains relationships with volunteers and organizes volunteering opportunities. There also is a heavy emphasis on team management and development, and establishing standards of performance across all programs. The focus of this role is on achieving results which are aligned with the larger picture of the organization and its strategic goals. For the Denver Chapter, we are looking for someone to be in-person at climbing days. You'll be in part responsible for coordinating when those days are scheduled, so you'll be able to plan for your schedule. Essential Functions Oversee and coordinate the Programming committee of volunteers and be accountable for: Maintaining relationships with the organizations we have existing relationships with for climbing with their kids Defining climbing schedule, budget, and volunteers needed to serve the climbing of each partnership. Communicate with volunteers that have signed up for specific volunteer opportunities.
