The mission of Collaborative Musicians’ Project is to promote quality and innovative chamber ensemble performance and chamber ensemble education through public funding. Professional ensembles sponsored by Collaborative Musicians' Project are premiere ensembles that represent innovative and positive musical performances, collaborations, and projects that support equity, unity, and a more peaceful world. These ensembles perform in concert, complete residencies, record new music, work with our Youth Ensemble Program, and provide community and educational outreach. Collaborative Mus(cians Project, Inc. is a registered 501(c)3 entity. Insurance/Licensing Manager Manage all background checks for contractors working with youth musicians in any capacity Collect concert performance reports from Sponsored Ensembles, and any Collaborative Musicians’ Project, Inc. concert and submit to ASCAP and BMI. Coordinate with treasurer to pay ASCAP dues. Investigate, communicate, manage and pay any board approved licensing fees relating to public streaming, performance, or posting of performances, etc. Keep liability insurance up to date. Coordinate with treasurer for payment.

BOARD OF DIRECTORS The business and charitable affairs of The Corporation shall be managed by a board of directors, not less than three (3) or more than six (6) persons, as determined by the board of directors. Members on the board of directors shall serve without pay and only members in good standing are eligible to serve as directors. The members of the board of directors can be dedicated board members, or any officer of Collaborative Musicians’ Project, Inc. performing a managerial role and not contracted with Collaborative Musicians’ Project, Inc. to receive payment of any kind. The members of the board of directors shall be elected by the affirmative vote of a majority of the board of directors present at a duly held meeting of the board (except that no director shall vote for his/her own election) and shall serve for a term of two years each. Individual terms are renewable as approved by the board of directors. Should a director die, resign, or be removed, the vacancy may be filled by the board of directors. A director may be removed from office, with or without cause, by an affirmative vote of a majority of the directors present at a duly called meeting. Not less than five days’ and not more than 30 days’ notice of such a meeting - stating that removal of such director is to be on the agenda - shall be given to each director. The board of directors shall hold an annual board meeting within 60 days of the beginning of the fiscal year. This meeting is not necessarily the same as the monthly board/officer meeting. The board of directors shall manage and approve all legal documentation, including contracts, the Code of Conduct and Policies, and all other necessary documentation. Qualifications: Experience and/or passion in performing Board duties for nonprofit arts organizations Experience and understanding of fundraising for nonprofit arts organizations Experience in working with professional musicians, youth and/or school music programs Willingness to access and create new professional connections on behalf of a nonprofit arts organization Aligns with Collaborative Musicians' Project's Code of Conduct and Policies ( https://comusicpro.org/conduct-%26-policies-code)
