Voter Registration

We are building our pool of VDR's (Volunteer Deputy Registrars). VDR's are certified by the state of Texas to register citizens to vote within the counties in which they are certified. When we go out into the community to expand our Community Ambassador network, we are often allowed to do so if we offer Voter Registration. Therefore, during a typical community outreach event we will sign people up to receive a monthly stipend for their phone or internet bill, offer to register them to vote, and give them free swag! We also, partner with other community organizations, that offer Voter Registration at various community events. So, our Cbates pool of VDRs will often join other organizations in the community for different events.

Project Manager Internship OR Team Member

We are seeking a motivated individual that is searching for an internship that focuses on leadership and project management skills. This position is also open to non-students that want to become a CBATES Team Member. This position can be done remotely, however, you MUST live in the United States to be considered. Our volunteer program consists of a few teams that are still in the process of being formed. We are actively recruiting volunteers for these teams. As a project management Intern/Team Member, you will have the chance to learn how to manage and supervise multiple teams, network with notable professionals from bigger companies, and more. You will also, be responsible in organizing details for programming and specail events, scheduling and detailing logistics. We also offer self-sufficiency and empowerment resources to enrich, and advance our clients beyond their current situation. Our impact encourages a more equitable playing field for under-privileged families threatened by poverty, and at-risk communities.

Description

We are a new non-profit organization offering various initiatives to impact the lives of individuals and the community through various initiatives.

In 2021 we presented our first Barbie Like Me Doll Drive. This initiative collected black and brown dolls to distribute to children of families in need and local hospitalized pediatric patients. The foundation of this initiative is to build self esteem and encourage positive self identity in minority children.

We present occasional forums that provide resources to support families and individuals.

Our office provides information and resources, and assists clients in applying for various resources to support them during financial hardships.

They make volunteering super accessible and give multiple opportunities. The one thing that's been holding me back from completing community service is availability. I work nights I get home and tired. The ability to do virtual hours. I'm super excited.
