CCHI helps the underserved community of adults with disabilities access housing and inclusion in their home communities. We are creating housing, programs and a vibrant community where everyone is welcome. CCHI Treasurer Job Responsibilities In addition to Board Member Responsibilities, the Treasurer will: Oversee the creation and management of the organization’s annual budget. Submit approval of all expenditures of funds. Assist in direct audits of the funds of the organization according to funding source guidelines and generally accepted accounting principles. Perform such other duties as may be prescribed by an Advisory Board or the President. Oversee actual year to date and Budget vs. Actual reports for Board consideration in December. Collect Board input for annual budget and draft budget. Provide Board approved budget to Bookkeeper for input into QB. Review annual contracts, i.e. Donor systems, and seek Board approval greater than budgeted amount. Supervise Bookkeepers work, including, but not limited to Donor system, QB, committee support, bill pay and financial reporting. Collect, process and deposits checks consistent with Internal Controls Procedures. Chair CCHI’s Finance Committee. Work with CCHI’s Bookkeeper to: Oversee tax form distribution requirements ( Gifts in Kind, 1099's, Check donation receipts, etc). Book required year end accrual, close the books and records and issue annual financials. Soliciting tax return bids and collect supporting documentation. Collect contractor hours, review for accuracy and process Direct Deposit payroll in QB Monthly. Pay bills via debit card, online bank bill pay and manual checks consistent with Internal Control Procedures. CCHI Treasurer Job Requirements Embrace and uphold CCHI’s mission and vision with enthusiasm and positivity. Experience as a professional accountant or relevant professional finance experience. Experience with commercial lending and/or real estate transactions. Able to multitask, prioritize and simultaneously meet deadlines. Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail. Proactive and self-driven personality. Able to collaborate with people who have different levels of experience and knowledge. Excitement to work in a highly collaborative, passionate, committed team. Job Title: Volunteer Part-Time Director for Collaborative Community Housing Initiative(CCHI) www.thecchi.org Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to serve as the Volunteer Part-Time Operations Manager for our Collaborative Community Housing Initiative (CCHI). The CCHI is a grassroots organization committed to promoting inclusive and equitable housing solutions for adults with disabilities in our community. As the Operations Manger, you will play a pivotal role in leading our efforts to expand housing opportunities, foster community partnerships, raise funds and advocate for the needs of individuals with disabilities. Responsibilities: Leadership and Strategy: Provide visionary leadership to inspire volunteers and stakeholders in support of our initiatives. Collaborate with the board of directors to set organizational priorities and ensure alignment with our mission. Community Engagement: Cultivate and maintain relationships with community stakeholders, including individuals with disabilities, families, local organizations, and government agencies. Organize community events, workshops, and outreach programs to raise awareness and promote our initiatives. Volunteer Recruitment and Management: Work with volunteers to support various aspects of our initiatives, including advocacy, fundraising, programming and community outreach. Foster a collaborative and inclusive volunteer culture that values diversity, equity, and inclusion. Administration and Fundraising: Manage administrative tasks related to budgeting, reporting, and compliance with regulatory requirements. Collaborate with the board of directors, volunteers and members to develop and implement strategies for securing grants, donations, and sponsorships to support our programs and operations. Assist in grant writing, donor cultivation, and fundraising events Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., social work, nonprofit management, urban planning) preferred. Prior experience in nonprofit leadership, community organizing, or housing advocacy strongly preferred. Knowledge of disability rights, fair housing laws, and inclusive housing practices preferred. Strong communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills. Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and adapt to changing circumstances. Commitment to the mission and values of Collaborative Community Housing Initiative(CCHI). Time Commitment: This is a volunteer part-time position with flexible hours, approximately 10-20 hours per week, with some evening and weekend availability required for meetings and events. Our goal is for this position to evolve into a paid position in the organization. Embracing Inclusion Creating Community Connections Collaborative Community Housing Initiative(CCHI) was formed by a group of 30 plus families North of Chicago in Illinois, with the specific goal of creating a supportive community where individuals of all abilities live collectively, each determining their own path to a meaningful life. CCHI spent 5 years collecting data, visiting inclusive living projects in other states, and working with multiple stakeholders to formulate a cutting edge project that meets the needs of our growing community. Our vision is to create communities with 35-80 unit apartment buildings/townhomes/condos in our neighborhood, that cater to local families and employees that need an affordable and comfortable place to live. This is a wonderful opportunity for all abled people to live in a community with people who have disabilities. State of the art offerings with advanced technology supports, eco conscious materials, green spaces, efficient yet specialized lighting and universal design, make this desirable for developers and residents. To help our new 501c3 grow, we need the help of a Marketing Intern. The Marketing Intern will assist CCHI on several communications projects including but not limited to website updates, newsletters, marketing material development, social media posts, email marketing and list building, and video production. This internship is a great opportunity for students or recent graduates who are looking to gain experience in marketing, social media marketing and communications in a nonprofit environment (and have fun while doing it!). The Marketing Internship is a part-time, unpaid internship. We hope to have this person transition into a paid position in 6 months.
