Want to help cats but also be part of a fun community? We are looking for volunteers to assist with caring for our adoptable cats by providing food and water, play time, and enrichment! Forever Fortunate Felines is a foster-based cat rescue in the Chicagoland area. The cats cared for by Cat Care Volunteers are located at Petsmart and Petco stores. Volunteers are expected to refill food and water bowls, make sure that cat areas are clean, play with the cats in a safe way, and make sure that our feline friends are healthy and enriched until they are adopted. If you are looking for a very relaxed volunteer position where you get to help rescue cats find their forever home, this is for you! We want to have fun while we are volunteering! You'll get added to a group chat with all those who volunteer at this location to share pictures, ask questions, and be part of a community. To apply please go to https://foreverfortunatefelines.org/volunteer/ or email volunteers@foreverfortunatefelines.org Locations Available: Petco Schaumburg: 60 E Golf Rd, Schaumburg, IL 60173 Availability: Flexible Shifts, 7 days a week Qualifications and Requirements: Attend a volunteer orientation Possess a basic understanding of cat behavior Possess the ability to follow direction Must be able to work independently with no supervision Enjoys interacting with rescue cats Able to lift and carry at least 15 lbs Must be able to bend, squat, and stand for extended periods Must be respectful toward cats and people Roles and Responsibilities: Change/scoop litter boxes Fill food and water bowls Assist with cat adoptions by providing information to potential adopters Provide playtime for cats who are either on the adoption floor or in condos Provide pictures to volunteer coordinators of cats Provide descriptions of cat personalities and quirks
