The Hospice (HSP) Administrative Volunteer provides support to Care Center staff through assistance with day-to-day office responsibilities. This may include things such as: -Answering telephones, filing, making copies, data entry and scanning/ uploading documents into the Electronic Medical Record (EMR). -Assisting with compiling and mailing bereavement letters, sympathy cards and/ or assist in the planning for the annual Memorial Service (Celebration of Life). -S/he might also assist with making check-in calls to patients, families and caregivers to ensure that they have the necessary supplies and medications prior to the weekend. This is wonderful experience for anyone interested in a career in the medical field or interested in learning more about hospice care!

Volunteers Make a Difference! SEEKING VOLUNTEERS THROUGHOUT CONNECTICUT If you have a passion for caring for others and are looking for a way to make a difference in people's lives, consider becoming a hospice volunteer! Our volunteers are an important part of our hospice care team, helping to improve the quality of life for our patients, their families and their caregivers. We are looking for caring volunteers that are willing to assist in various capacities. Training is provided and volunteers are supervised by a volunteer coordinator and supported by other members of the patient care team.
