Veterans Needed for Veteran to Veteran Companionship

Gentiva Hospice is looking for Veterans, Active or Retired, who are able to volunteer a few hours a month to spend with out patients who are veterans and facing life limiting illnesses and need someone to spend time with them. You will work directly with the patient to provide companionship, support and socialization as well as have the opportunity to participate in military pinning ceremonies. Our volunteers are an important part of the Hospice team and we provide ongoing training, education and support as well as specific training for Veterans. . We will work with your schedule. Pet Therapy Animal Needed for Friendly Visits

Gentiva Hospice is looking for Certified Therapy Dogs to visit our patients in their homes or in facilities. A friendly visit from a dog or a cat mean so much to our patients. Please consider if you have 2-3 hours a month to volunteer. Days and times are completely flexible. Thank you so much. You and your pet would bring so much joy to our patients! Positions are available in Monmouth, Union and Middlesex County.

Gentiva Hospice is looking for an administrative volunteer who would like to help out in our friendly Piscataway office. Lots of different activities-We welcome and encourage retirees, seniors, students or any young adult looking to gain experience as well as help their community. Gentiva Hospice-Companion Volunteers and other Opportunities

Gentiva Hospice is looking for volunteers who can provide companionship to our patients in Middlese, Union or Monmouth County and surrounding area, either in homes or facilites. Whether you can knit, sew, color, play cards or games, have a pet therepy animal, or just sit and talk or watch TV. Visits are usually 2x a month for 1 hour or whatever you are able to give. Our volunteers are such important part of the Hospice team and we provide ongoing training, education, events and support. We will work with your schedule, location and areas of interest.
