Would you like to spend time in a place of beauty and peace while giving back to the community? Join the Cranaleith Spiritual Gardeners! We're looking for volunteers who can help us keep Cranaleith looking its best. Can't tell a weed from a flower? That's ok! We'll help you get started then let you spend quiet time tending the earth while you cultivate peace in your own heart. Please wear closed-toe shoes and clothing that will protect you from the sun. If you have your own gloves and trowels, please bring them. Individuals and groups welcome.

Cranaleith serves 5-45 guests per day. These can range from program participants, conference guests, and non-profit clients. We are looking for a volunteer to help keep our dining room clean and organized. This includes greeting guests, wiping down tables when meal service is complete, replenishing supplies, and communicating effectively with our Chef. Other duties available depending on skill level and interest.

Cranaleith’s ten-acre property and busy calendar need helpers to keep the grounds and events welcoming! To that end, Cranaleith offers many rewarding volunteer opportunities for individuals and groups of all ages and skills. Volunteer Opportunities include: Bees - Assist with bees year round Boy Scouts - Eagle Scout Projects available The Vegetable Garden Adopt-a-Garden - care for one of the small gardens on the property Adopt-a-Tree/s - weeding around the tree The Labyrinth - maintain, tidy and weed Greeter - offer hospitality when groups visit or spiritual programs occur Holiday Decorations - seasonal: Harvest and Christmas. Help with putting up and taking down. Honey Bottling - after the honey is harvested, assist with filling the bottles, wiping them clean and labeling. Lawn Maintenance - assist with mowing, trimming, edging and, in the fall, raking leaves; 18 yrs. or older. Office Projects - assist with small projects that might occur throughout the year. Service Hours - we have projects for elementary and high school students, who need to complete required service hours Photography - photographing special events, programs, retreat groups, and grounds. Hobby photographers welcome! Special Events - e.g. Harvest Festival, Christmas Pop-In Sale. Assist w/ prep &/or the event itself. Gaelic for "sanctuary of trees," Cranaleith is a nonprofit 501(c)3 organization that offers serene and rejuvenating space to those who wish to reflect on what matters deeply in their lives, renew their spirit for life and work, or restore themselves from life’s traumas. Individuals and groups are invited to participate in retreats and other programs offered in a spirit-rekindling environment of well-being, respect, and harmony. Cranaleith is a sponsored ministry of the Sisters of Mercy.
