Focused on the idea of a triple bottom line - ecology, economy and community - Sierra Institute collaborates with stakeholders from diverse backgrounds to create lasting change that benefits both rural communities and downstream urban centers.

We have many volunteer opportunities. Citizen science and fieldwork for our research efforts, wildfire mitigation or planting projects for landscape restoration, events for out reach and education --whatever your skills and volunteer goals, we will match you with right project and the right team.
