Do you and your pet enjoy visiting with people and brightening their day? Our hospice patients and their families would LOVE for you to visit! Hospice provides special care, comfort, and support to those facing a life-limiting illness. Volunteers are a large part of hospice care and make an INCREDIBLE difference in the lives of others. Your pet does not need to be a certified therapy pet, but they must be friendly, calm, and well-mannered and you must provide a copy of their vaccinations. The pet handler must fill out a volunteer application then undergo a background check, fingerprinting, drug test, 2-step TB test, in-person training and online training. You get to determine your visit frequency and if you'll make visits in facilities and/or in patients' own homes.

Do you have sewing or crocheting skills? Do you enjoy crafting items for others? We have hospice patients all over Southwest Ohio that would appreciate your donations!! We provide services to Butler, Clermont, Hamilton, Preble, and Warren County. Comfort items are what is most needed, but you can be creative depending on your likes and interests. We can provide materials and pickup is available. Contributions can be a one time thing or ongoing as often as you would like! Below is a list of some ideas to choose from or we can discuss your own idea! Soft quilts or blankets (any size, color, and pattern) Small pillows to help support neck or limbs Lavender satchets for under patient pillow Red/white/blue, flag, or patriotic blankets or pillows for veterans Memory bears or pillows made with loved one's shirt Care packages for families caring for loved ones at home Fidget mat/"busy blanket" or apron for patients with dementia Stuffed animals Homemade cards (holiday, thinking of you, best wishes)

Are you a licensed hair stylist, nail tech, or massage therapist? Are you willing to donate your time and services to hospice patients in need? Please come join our hospice volunteer program with Ohio Living Village Hospice! Hospice provides special care, comfort, and support to those facing a life-limiting illness. Volunteers are a large part of hospice care and make an INCREDIBLE difference in the lives of others. You can help patients feel better by providing them with hair, nail, or massage services. Services may be provided at a scheduled frequency or upon request. Efforts will be made to match you with patients as close to your location as possible, but we appreciate if you're willing and able to travel to other counties. Volunteers must provide proof of professional license and undergo an extensive onboarding process, including background check, fingerprinting, drug screen, 2-step TB test, in-person and online training.
