Skills and Experience: Facilitation Skills - Some experience in facilitating workshops or group discussions is required, as you will often be working without direct supervision. However, there will be opportunities to further develop and refine your facilitation skills through the role. Communication Skills - You are able to communicate clearly and effectively, helping participants feel heard and engaged in the discussion. Organisational Skills - You can manage time effectively during workshops, ensuring that discussions and activities stay on track. Adaptability - Willingness to modify workshops to meet the needs of specific audiences or environments, with support available for learning these skills. Technical Skills (Optional) - Comfort with basic online tools if workshops are held virtually (e.g., Zoom or Google Workspace). Ability to travel to location of event: Volunteers will need to travel independently to the location of the event. Expenses can be provided in line with our policies. Time Commitment: Volunteers are asked to commit to at least six months with NGA, dedicating an average of 2-4 hours per week to facilitation and related activities and team communication. We also appreciate flexibility, as there may be periods of increased activity when more time is needed to complete important tasks.
