Grow to understand our potential donor pool and hold a vital role in planning events and coordinating other activities to encourage donations and help us move toward our goal of inspiring and empowering students and teachers. You will work closely with the CEO/Founder, to assign, meet and exceed fundraising goals, and in turn, grow and improve your communication and leadership skills and organizational capabilities in this pivotal role. Essential Job Functions: The position entails four main tasks: Research and identify fundraising opportunities and establish relationships with donors; Organize activities to raise funds or otherwise gather monetary donations or other gifts to support MBM’s mission; Design and produce promotional materials and raise awareness of the organization's work, goals, and financial needs. Raise funds for our cause and regularly meet or surpass fundraising targets Research and develop fundraising opportunities, including single events and detailed campaigns and potential donors to gain insight into needs, beliefs and donation habits to understand how to position our organization to them Collaborate with senior leadership to prioritize departmental activities to meet organizational goals, and assist in brainstorming and creating new methods to raise funds for our organization Assist in planning and coordinating events meant to raise funds and coordinate activities of volunteers and interns related to event planning and execution Maintain complete and orderly records of donors and manage regular donor communications Collaborate with other organizations and groups within the community to build partnerships and enhance fundraising activities

Background of Our Organization Minds Beyond Measure (MBM), is a nonprofit, newly established in 2019. The developer will work with Google Ads to create campaigns to raise awareness of our organization along with driving traffic to our website. You’ll also help us create more efficient ways to navigate our website. You will hold a vital role in helping us move toward our goal of inspiring and empowering students and teachers. A commitment to our organizational values and vision is key. You will work closely with the CEO/Founder, to meet and exceed web development goals, and in turn, grow and improve your development and organizational skills in this pivotal role. A recommendation/reference letter will be provided for you. Essential Job Functions Build and optimize Google Ad campaigns to drive traffic to MBM’s website and increase awareness of our organization Maintain and optimize a secure web page for evolving business needs Provide continued support for one or more web properties Maintain communication with team members and supervisors concerning the direction of the website Code and script applications Perform routine site audits, as well as ongoing maintenance, on an as-needed basis Stays abreast of industry trends, needs, innovations, and opportunities. By using their passion, creativity, and communication skills (written and spoken), they will strive to inspire, empower, and positively impact young people through a 8-week program, where the focus is provide a safe space for them to develop and strengthen their writing and speaking skills, including resilience, social-emotional, team and leadership skills and lead them toward their freer and more expressive selves. Job Duties and Tasks Training (30 minutes a week) in the Speak 4 Life: Where Words & Verbs Make You Right For Life program Co-facilitate a group of 10-12 incarcerated individuals with the Program Lead on Evaluate and reflect on program effectiveness Raise awareness of the mentor program to others Job Skills & Qualifications Passionate about being a positive role model for young people Students studying to be teachers or have prior teaching experience Strong desire to positively impact children and youth Confident with presenting and performing to groups of people Comfortable with being assertive with children when the need arises Comfortable working with children/youth in an urban environment Strong communication, interpersonal, and team skills Excellent organizational skills and time-management abilities Creativity skills Available to commit to a full program implementation for 8 weeks (2 hours each week): 1 hour - of lesson preparation and 1 hour of program implementation Preferred Qualifications Experience working with underserved communities and/or at-risk youth Experience and/or a passion to work with correctional facilities/detainees Comfortable working with Rikers Prison Special Note on Riker’s Island The Speak 4 Life program will also include opportunities to engage with youth at Riker’s Island, providing mentorship and support through our program. This unique aspect of our program aims to offer hope, skill development, and a sense of community to incarcerated youth, helping them to build a positive future. This will begin as a pilot program (1 - 2 sessions), and if successful, we plan to continue our partnership with Riker’s Island. Additionally, the first session will involve shadowing the Program Lead to ensure a smooth start. Join us in making a difference in the lives of young people, both in schools and at Riker’s Island.
