Location: Dallas-Fort Worth Time Commitment: Flexible About Us: Blown Away Adventures is dedicated to making birthdays special for less fortunate children. We believe every child deserves to feel celebrated and loved on their special day. Key Responsibilities: Assist in the planning and coordination of our Birthday Surprise Box and/or Birthday Gift Bag deliveries with parents and/or Boys & Girls Club Staff. Interact with children and families to create a fun, inclusive, and welcoming atmosphere. Shop, organize and wrap gifts, party favors, and supplies. Participate in fundraising, donation drives Blown Away Adventures events, and Vendor events, as needed. Please note, these volunteer opportunities are not exhaustive. Additional opportunities may arise and will be shared in our monthly volunteer opportunity email. Qualifications: Passion for working with children and supporting underserved communities. Strong organizational and communication skills. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Friendly, positive attitude and a willingness to help. Must pass a background check. Volunteer Coordinator

The Volunteer Coordinator will be responsible for recruiting, training, and supervising volunteers. This individual is in charge of direction, coordination, and consultation for all volunteer functions. They ensure that the interests of volunteers are served and that the organization remains well staffed with volunteers. Seeking a Coordinator located in Dallas-Fort Worth. This is a non-paid position.

To create a nurturing, fun environment for our less fortunate families by celebrating one of life's biggest events...BIRTHDAYS!

Description

Blown Away Adventures development started in 2016, and became an official 501c3 organization in 2018.

Our goals are to build strong, creative Board and a fun, energetic Volunteer base.

We currently have 2 programs that provide birthday goodies to less fortunate children around Dallas-Fort Worth. Our first program, Birthday Surprise Box, started in 2019 providing birthday children with cake/cupcake, balloons, and gifts. Our second program, Bountiful Gifts, started in 2020 where we have partnered with a local Boys and Girls Club to provide monthly gift bags to children who are celebrating in that particular month.
