Mission Statement

Metro Relief is a strategic mobile outreach on the streets and alleyways of DFW metroplex to combat homelessness by walking alongside our neighbors sleeping outside and building relationships. We first help with essentials like food, water, hygiene, coats and other personal needs then we work with other resources and partner services to provide permanent solutions.

Description

We exist to first to get our homeless friends stable and fed, then we find next steps towards getting them self-sufficient and towards a home through mobile outreach and case management. Our volunteers are a big part of our Bus outreaches to bring the essential needs to the homeless while our case managers develop relations and determine the best solutions for each individual.

Sometimes we can help someone quickly by getting them an ID or vital documents so they can get a job or healthcare. Other times we have to walk alongside to guide through partner resources and several steps like detox, rehab and recovery and then find them a job and a home. Our end goal is to help them to become stable, self-reliant, in a good community and into a residence of their own, or make a successful reunion back with their families.
