VOLUNTEER SIMULATOR OPERATORS WANTED

Flexible Schedule | Honolulu, HI 96818

We are looking for volunteers to operate our flight simulators here at the Pearl Harbor Aviation Museum! Our flight simulators take guests on a simulated flight path of which they control and enjoy. This is an additional charge to guests, so our Simulator Operators need to have good communication and customer service skills. Simulator operators will assist our "pilots" as they learn to fly the aircraft, and verify that all guest are safely using the equipment. Operators are responsible for conducting both a pre and post-flight evaluation to ensure the simulators are running smoothly and are safe for guest use. We are looking for a commitment of 12 hours per week, but please reach out if you have any questions or concerns! VOLUNTEER DOCENTS WANTED

Looking for volunteers to fill Docent roles here at the Pearl Harbor Aviation Museum! Docents provide guided tours for guests who have purchased a 60- minute tour of the museum and engage with guests on the floor as well. We provide extensive training for this position and request a weekly commitment. MUST be: Able to volunteer 6 hours per week. Passionate about sharing history with guests and students in an engaging manner. Able to pass a background check. Training will be provided. Base access will be provided to ensure volunteers can drive onto Ford Island for their shifts.

The Pearl Harbor Aviation Museum is looking for enthusiastic and excited people to help us in one of more vital roles, which is greeting. Though it may seem simple, greeting is important to our museum because it sets the tone. Seeing a welcoming person can bring a smile to the faces of guests and create the perfect atmosphere for a guest's visit to the museum. It is also a way of the securing the campus and making sure that all guests who are at the museum are taken care of and accounted for. The job will require standing on your feet for extended amounts of time, engaging in conversation, and having a good time! Please contact me if you have any interest in this position.
