The National Association of Asian American Professionals is the premier leadership organization for Asian-American and Pacific Islander professionals. The NAAAP SF Bay Area chapter serves members in San Francisco through professional development, networking, and leadership opportunities. This is a unique opportunity for those looking to make a meaningful impact within our organization while gaining valuable experience in event planning, coordination, and community engagement. As an Events Volunteer, you will work closely with our team to help plan, organize, and execute various events that promote professional development and networking for our members. Key Responsibilities: Assist in the planning and coordination of events, including workshops, seminars, regional conferences and job fairs. Support the logistics of events, such as venue selection, ticketing, audio-visual needs, and registration processes. Collaborate with team members to develop event materials, including invitations, flyers, and presentations. Engage with attendees during events to foster a welcoming environment and ensure a positive experience. Help with post-event evaluations and feedback collection to improve future events. Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas for new initiatives and events that align with our mission. Qualifications: Live and or work in San Francisco, Alameda or Marin County. Strong interest in event planning, community engagement, and professional development. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and contribute positively to group dynamics. Organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple tasks. A willingness to learn and grow through hands-on experience. Commitment: This is a volunteer position with flexible hours. We ask for a commitment of at least 12 months to ensure continuity and growth within our events team.
