Historically, the Nevins Library brought together exceptional resources for education, personal growth, and community engagement. Today, we continue to build on that legacy for the people of Methuen and our neighbors by ensuring access to technology and materials that assist with learning and living, promoting literacy for all ages, and creating positive experiences that enrich lives and connect our communities.

I have been involved for over two years as an ESOL tutor after completing the provided training. I did not come from a teaching background BTW. I have been working with my 2nd student for over a year and since she is more advanced in English this was a better fit for me. We are working on reading comprehension now (she wants to get her GED) and she is so grateful to meet when her busy schedule permits (about 3 times a month). It is rewarding to help others. Weekly I work with my student but have the support and advice from my coordinator when needed
