Responsibilities Provide patient appointment and procedure scheduling over the phone and in person. Utilize our electronic health records (EHR) software to ensure appointments are made according to specific provider preferences and ensure appropriate time slots are allocated. Answer patient questions, provide instructions, and ensure a positive patient experience. Resolve scheduling conflicts, patient requests, or other challenges professionally using critical thing and problem-solving skills to find appropriate solutions. Contribute feedback for process improvement to enhance scheduling efficiency and improve overall patient satisfaction. Qualifications Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to empathize and connect with patients. Strong organizational abilities to manage multiple tasks and schedule appointments efficiently. Attention to detail, ensuring accurate scheduling. Willing and comfortable learning our patient electronic health record (EHR) computer system. Respect for patient privacy and the ability to maintain confidentiality. Are you an RN or APRN looking for a meaningful way to give back to the community? At Lakeland Volunteers In Medicine, a free medical clinic, we are able to dispense medications at no cost to our patients through a state-approved dispensary license. This special license allows licensed RNs and APRNs to serve in a role similar to that of a pharmacist - reviewing, preparing, and dispensing prescriptions under our clinical protocols. We are currently seeking RN and APRN volunteers to assist in this capacity. You do not need prior pharmacy experience - we'll provide training and support. This is a flexible and rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of patients who otherwise would go without essential medications.
