We are seeking a CPA or skilled volunteer to assist us with filing our 2024 tax documents (990EZ). We are primarily a volunteer-based organization therefore, we have few transactions annually. However, we would like to make sure our taxes are filed correctly so that we comply. Girl Now Woman Later (GNWL) is a 501(c)(3) organization founded in 2020 that works in Burkina Faso, West Africa to increase the literacy rate among girls to prevent child marriage and promote menstruation education. Since 2020, we have worked to elevate, advocate for, and to inspire girls’ education in Burkina Faso with feminine hygiene products, menstrual education workshops, and tuition assistance. Our vision is a world in which a girl’s education is not abandoned or taken away because of her gender, where she can freely pursue her education, become skilled at anything that she desires, still be a girl, and grow into a woman. We have been fortunate to find individuals who care about the future and the education of schoolgirls in underserved areas of Burkina Faso and are willing to volunteer their time to mentor, serve, and create on behalf of Girl Now Woman Later. To continue our success in exposing under-supported and underserved schoolgirls to higher learning, career choices, and life skills development, we will need the assistance of qualified/skilled individuals to keep us in compliance with local and state mandates. Project impact. The project will impact our organization in the following ways: Compliance with local and state government Strengthened internal capacity to collect and monitor the right financial data. Our Executive Director will dedicate whatever time is needed to support getting taxes settled.

Summary: The Volunteer Grant Writer contributes to the financial sustainability of Sync by writing grant proposals and researching potential funders and foundations. The Volunteer Grant Writer collaborates with other Sync team members. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Research and Identify Opportunities: Explore grant funding opportunities from various sources. Proposal Writing: Prepare clear, concise, and compelling grant proposals. Eligibility Verification: Ensure that the organization meets the eligibility criteria for each grant. Supporting Documentation: Gather necessary supporting documents (financial reports, newsletters, etc.) for proposals. Relationship Building: Develop relationships with potential funders and foundations. Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of grant applications and outcomes. Collaboration: Work closely with other team members. Timely Completion: Meet deadlines for grant submissions. Qualifications: Passion for Service: A commitment to making a positive impact. Writing Skills: Proficient in writing clear and persuasive proposals. Research Abilities: Ability to identify relevant grant opportunities.
