Mission Statement
"Helping all people to live more enriching lives." The mission of Divine Revelations Ministries, Inc. (DRMI) focuses on helping people to help themselves through programs designed to improve the quality of life for adults and youth. We accomplish this by providing empowerment programs and life skills classes, coaching, and mentoring opportunities holistically designed to help all people live more enriching lives.
Description
DRMI is a grassroots 501c3 organization that provides secular (non-religious) life-skills enhancement programs. Most of our programs serve low-income, at-risk youth and adults who are overcoming past life decisions that have negatively impacted their status in the community. DRMI strives to empower these individuals through our life-skills programs and classes, coaching and mentoring opportunities. DRMI administers five core programs: 1. Geeks & Gramps (grandparents) Program provides an opportunity for social and intergenerational connectedness and engagement between youth 8-18 and seniors. 2. In partnership with FL Department of Corrections, Leon County Detention Facility and Shanks Middle School, DRMI facilitates onsite classes of its Control the Fire! (c)2015 Anger Management Program for adults and teens. This program is also a Tallahassee/Leon County Court approved class for clients who are court-ordered to attend anger management classes. 3. Reclaiming Freedom from Addictions & Substances Program is another partnership with the FL Department of Corrections, with programs facilitated onsite at correctional facilities. 4. DRMI supports those in hunger-risk through its partnership with Panera Bread’s End of Day Dough Nation by donating to local shelters and distributing to the homeless in local parks. 5. DRMI sponsors the annual DRMI Street Corner giveaway event at the Carter Howell Strong Park in the community of Frenchtown in Tallahassee.
