Mission Statement

Walking Wild is a nonprofit organization that rescues and provides a safe haven for captive bred foxes and wolf dogs. We provide every animal with the love and respect they deserve. Walking Wild educates the public about the cruelty of the fur industry, and explains and helps with the reality of welcoming a fox or wolf dog into your family.

Description

Walking Wild is home to 12 foxes and two wolf dogs, but is in the process of building a facility that will allow us to save up to 65 foxes and 20 wolf dogs. We have begun a program that educates both the public and the fashion industry about the reality of fur farms, and using fur in fashion. Walking Wild is partnering with other rescues as well as educational groups to provide safe haven and education about foxes and wolf dogs. Our volunteers are playing an active role in both keeping our habitats clean, as well as socializing our animals to better able the foxes to be trusting of humans. As we grow, and move into our facility, the volunteer roles will grow. We need volunteers to be part of our education programs, social outreach, fundraising, medical care, habitat care, and much more.
