Now Stowe Mission offers a full spectrum of outreach programs that enrich body and soul. This is possible through the remarkable efforts of staff and volunteers and by cultivating relationships with donors and other non-profits. Stowe Mission offers a daily community kitchen where community members can come inside and enjoy a fresh and hot meal. We are looking for volunteers who can assist with the distribution of food, prep the food the day and help clean after the food has been given out for the day.

To volunteer as a Friendly Caller volunteer, join the Retired & Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) a volunteer program exclusive to Ohio residents in Franklin County ages 55 years and older. We match volunteers ages 55+ with nonprofits in their community that either need or rely on volunteers to be able to provide their services. Funded through the Corporation for National and Community Service (CNCS) and part of AmeriCorps Seniors, VANTAGE Aging’s Retired and Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) is one of the largest volunteer networks in the nation for people 55 years and over. We partner with nonprofit agencies to match these older adults to their volunteer opportunities. RSVP projects link the skills of the volunteers with the identified needs of the community. We think of ourselves as the 'center hub' for our volunteers looking for opportunities. We offer many wonderful incentives and perks to our team of RSVP volunteers, this program is free and so rewarding to be a part of.

Tuck-in Support Companion Volunteer with Hospice of Central Ohio

As a Tuck-in Support Companion volunteer with Hospice of Central Ohio you'll help patients and families by ensuring they have the necessary supplies and medications to get them through the weekend. The ideal volunteer will speak clearly and with a pleasant demeanor while engaging in focused, goal driven conversations with caregivers and/or patients. Calls will occur on Thursdays at the Hospice of Central Ohio offices. RSVP (Retired and Senior Volunteer Program) connects volunteers age 55 and older with opportunities to serve their community. VANTAGE RSVP is available in Delaware, Franklin, Summit, Medina, Geauga, Wayne and Hamilton Counties.

As the largest volunteer network for older adults in the nation, RSVP matches volunteers with organizations where their time, interest, talents, knowledge, and experience are most effectively utilized to meet important needs in our community.
