Mission Statement
The Domestic Violence Program of Herkimer County supports and empowers individuals affected by domestic violence, while striving to prevent and eradicate the cycle of violence through education, intervention, prevention and social change.
Description
The Domestic Violence Program has served clients in Herkimer County under the auspices of Catholic Charities for thirty-five years. The Domestic Violence Program under the umbrella of Catholic Charities is the sole licensed provider of residential and non-residential services to victims in Herkimer County. We have provided domestic violence services in our county for thirty-four years. The Program has offered non-residential services since 1985 and has provided residential services since 1991.
