We are looking for an initiative and innovative-driven volunteer to help us with our new business plan to tweak some things for our domestic violence nonprofit. FFT Helping Others is a grassroots advocacy 501C3 non-profit organization that aids families and individuals in Volusia County and surrounding areas by advocating, providing resources, and counseling services. These sources are tailored for domestic violence, human, sex, and labor trafficking individuals, and this includes spreading awareness of military, domestic violence, child abuse, and teen dating violence, plus tailor-made workshops to spread awareness. WE PROVIDE: Referral to housing programs and community aid services assistance for women and children affected & inflicted by the issues of Domestic Violence and trafficking issues Continued efforts with other agencies to transport women from all across Volusia County and to partner with state law enforcement and community nonprofits. Food aid, action, and support to domestic violence and homeless families. Hair Cuts, Pampering Day, book and clothing drives for families in need Bookbag & Christmas programs for disparaging communities and those in need. Aid to our Latino and minority communities that require advocacy and assistance, especially with translators, social services, and judicial advocacy. Aid in hurricane actions and disaster relief actions. Education and awareness of human trafficking, Teen Dating Violence, Bullying, Domestic Violence, and other violent issues affect our communities, teens, children, and veterans. Help in legislation reform for Domestic Violence. Aid in mental health and ensure a better quality of life through mental health assistance. We are seeking someone to help us fix our business plan. This could be a volunteer position, but it could become permanent. Our growth is looking into county, state, and federal grants to help us develop and growth. We look for retired individuals, students looking to intern, or anyone with a business management background to volunteer. We want to start looking for federal and state grants, and we have a bill that we want to bring to Congress, so getting this started as soon as possible would be great. Whats we are looking for: Background in business planning or grant writing Interns or anyone with a business background At least a minimum 2 years of experience If they are a student that they are currently in a course that will help them as they go back and forth with questions to a professor Time will all be by Zoom, a minimum of 4-6 hours per week on project, Online Google Meet or Zoom with the founder. What can we provide: Reference letter or emails with our logo that you have worked with FFT Helping Others Volunteer time if you have interned with us Recognition if we go for the Volunteer Presidential Award Medal or Letter from the US President If you have any questions please reach out to us so that we can interview you on a Zoom meeting.

Are you passionate about advocating for change and making a difference in the lives of those affected by domestic violence within the military community? Join us as a Political Advocate to help raise awareness and support for critical legislation aimed at addressing this pressing issue. About the Role: As a Political Advocate, you will play a vital role in spreading awareness about military domestic violence and educating others about the proposed bill designed to provide protection and resources for victims. Your efforts will be instrumental in building community support and urging policymakers to take action. Key Responsibilities: Community Outreach: Organize and participate in events, workshops, and discussions to inform the public about military domestic violence and the importance of the proposed legislation. Advocacy Campaigns: Help create and distribute materials (flyers, social media posts, newsletters) to raise awareness plus spread awareness on social media. Getting Petition signatures: Aid us in getting petition signatures from the community on our online petition. This is to help aid Congress with the instrumental decision with pivotal issues to be addressed by the DOJ and DOD. Packet Structure: Help create a thought-provoking packet to give all delegates information about abuse and sexual assault in our military, statistics, and information about lack of support to families dealing with this situation Legislative Engagement: Contact local and national representatives to share information about the bill, encouraging them to support its passage. Coalition Building: Collaborate with like-minded organizations, veterans' groups, and community members to amplify the message. Storytelling: Share survivor stories (with consent) to highlight the urgency and importance of the legislation. Qualifications: Passion for advocacy and a commitment to supporting victims of domestic violence. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Experience in organizing events or campaigns is a plus but not required. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Travel if necessary to approach the House of Representatives, Congress, or even the President in Washington DC. This is needed but not required. Impact: By volunteering, you’ll contribute to a cause that could transform the lives of military families impacted by domestic violence. Your efforts will help ensure the proposed bill gains the attention and support it needs to become law. Time Commitment: Flexible. Even a few hours a week can make a significant difference. Location: This opportunity can be conducted remotely, with options for in-person involvement in events or meetings if desired. We would love to get funding from the Department of Defense or the Department of Justice, but any federal or state grants that assist our nonprofit would be great. Regarding local businesses or corporations, we are looking for companies or corporations that do not need much information into our finances right away since we are starting off. We look for retired individuals, students looking to intern, or anyone with a business management background or grant writing experience. Since we are looking for federal and state grants, and we have a bill that we want to bring to Congress, getting this started as soon as possible would be great. What we are looking for: Background in business planning or grant writing Interns or anyone with a business background or grant writing At least a minimum 2 years of experience or A student who is currently taking a course with this as a concentration and can go back and forth with questions to a professor that deals with nonprofits Time will all be by Zoom, with a minimum of 4-6 hours per week on our project, and ensure that it is tailor-made for nonprofits dealing with domestic violence. Someone who can run crowdfunding, fundraising, or logistics in getting local, state, and national businesses or corporations to fund our mission to help victims Give some time to meet with the founder via online Google Meet or Zoom.
