We are looking for a volunteer to drive a box truck of food from our Warehouse in Loveland (starting ay 3pm) to the Poudre High School No-Cost Marker in Fort Collins every other Thursday. Once the No-Cost Market is over, any remaining food will be packed up into the truck and driven back to the Main Warehouse in Loveland with the role ending by 8pm. This role requires using an electric pallet jack (training will be provided) and lifting as much as 70lbs at a time. This role also requires a drug screen and MVR Check. We are also asking that the volunteer make a committment to help each month.

Our warehouse assistants are the folks that make it possible for our Fresh Food Shares to easily distribute food directly to our clients in response to the hunger needs of Larimer County. Most of the day-to-day in this role will be sorting food, repackaging food, and assembling food boxes to support our government sponsored programs. There is a sense of comradery in this role and you will have the opportunity to join a group of fun-loving, energetic, and charitable folks doing good work! In our Community Kitchen we get to have fun, rock out to music, and work side-by-side with a small group to prepare nutritious, made-from-scratch meals and snacks that feeds children and seniors! At any given time, you could be prepping food, packing meals or snacks, and helping with kitchen cleaning. You don’t need any kitchen experience and we will show you every step of the way. *Shifts are typically 2 hours, but we are flexible. We could really use help in the Early Bird shift 6a-8a. And....the very special Kids' Café Cooler Prep for Food Shares role, where you'll be helping load the Kids' Café meals prepared to be distributed at the Food Shares in the Coolers for the next day. We have also added one shift in the afternoon to help us clean up after the crazy amount of meal production for our increased summer feeding programs.
