What are tabling events? These are events where our organization will have a table or booth to share information about our mission, current activities, and how to get involved. Such events include festivals, farmer's markets, school environmental days, etc. Tabling volunteers will take shifts at these events, helping to staff our table/booth. Shifts are a minimum of an hour, but can be as long as you'd like to stay and help. Some of the tabling events we do are all day long, others are only a couple hours in total. While at the table, you'll engage with passersby and discuss birds, habitat, the mission of Pilchuck Audubon, opportunities for them to get involved (i.e., birding trips, program nights), etc. Games and activities will often be used to draw in the public. You'll also distribute flyers and informational handouts, and ask for email signups. We will help train you on these activities, and will pair you with someone experienced your first time as a volunteer. Desired Qualifications: ➢ Passion for birds and the mission of Pilchuck Audubon ➢ Enjoys interacting with other nature enthusiasts, people person ➢ Knowledgeable about Pilchuck Audubon (we will provide information to volunteers) Needing list of volunteers ASAP to call upon as needs arise.
