Mission Statement

Southern California Immigration Project provides pro bono and low bono legal services to victims of human rights violations. Our goal is to enable safe and thriving lifestyles for these individuals.

Description

SCIP was founded in 2015. In 2019 we were able to help 66 individuals. Of the 28 completed cases, 80% were won. Our clients are from Somalia, Palestine, Ethiopia, Cameroon, Democratic Republic of Congo, Eritrea, Nigeria and Egypt. Our goal is to provide services to more individuals as thousands of human rights victims are in detention centers in San Diego and Calexico and unable to navigate the complex and ever changing legal system.
