Mission Statement

Pass the Class provides tutoring and career advice for underprivileged and homeless youth (ages 11-24). Tutors meet with youth to help them study, apply for college, create resumes, stay organized, and find jobs. We believe that everyone deserves a fair chance at an education no matter their background.

Description

Pass the Class is a non-profit that originally started as a student organization at Ohio State in 2017 with students coming in to work with homeless youth at the Star House where tutors helped youth enroll in college, keep up to date on their coursework, and find jobs. Today, Pass the Class is expanding its operations to new sites and looking to expand the range of community members involved in the organization.
