Mission Statement

Cobb County Animal Services was established in 1971. As part of Cobb's Department of Public Safety, we serve the entire county, protecting the residents and animals of Cobb. The mission of the Cobb County Animal Services Unit is to enforce state laws and county ordinances pertaining to animal control and management; educate the community on responsible pet ownership and wildlife care and provide housing and care for homeless animals, while coordinating their adoptions when possible and humane euthanization when adoptions are not possible.

Description

At Cobb County Animal Services, we are always looking for passionate and motivated volunteers to assist with the care of our amazing animals. We offer several opportunities such as dog walking, kitten care, dog/cat socialization, dog training, pet grooming, pet photographer, bio writers, and many more! No matter what your talents and interests are, we have a perfect spot for you!

The shelter is open Tuesday-Sunday from 10:30 to 4:30. Volunteers must be at least 18 years old to work with our animals and are asked to volunteer at least 4 hours a month. If this sounds like something you'd be interested in, send an email to alicia.dunkerton@cobbcounty.org. Hope to see you soon!
