If you are looking for an opportunity to enrich the lives of others, we invite you to become an Ethos Hospice Volunteer. Volunteering for hospice can be one of the most emotionally and spiritually rewarding experiences in a persons life. Our volunteers are invaluable members of the Ethos Hospice team and share their time and talents to enhance the quality of life for those living with terminal illnesses. Every Ethos volunteer receives free and comprehensive training before being given a volunteer assignment. Companionship visits may include visiting, writing letters, playing cards or games, and reading with patients. Volunteers are given assignments based on their interests and amount of time they have available. Because we consider volunteers an extension of our staff, volunteers should be able to commit time to volunteer orientation, be dependable, and provide their own transportation. Volunteers are still needed even with restrictions due to COVID-19. Volunteers are provided with all protective equipment, testing, and vaccinations required to work with patients.
