Mission Statement
To Serve, Not to Judge. CJM’s mission is to improve our communities by supporting and empowering those impacted by incarceration.
Description
Criminal Justice Ministry (CJM) was founded in 1979 in response to the growing needs of individuals and their families impacted by the criminal justice system in the St. Louis community. Specifically focused on re-entry services, CJM provides wraparound resources and services to returning citizens and displaced veterans in their journey toward successfully reentering society through housing programs, such as Release to Rent, as well as counseling, obtaining birth certificates, and food and clothing. Over the past four decades, CJM has served over 500,000 individuals and families impacted by the criminal justice system in the St. Louis Area.
CJM offers assistance during incarceration through volunteer led programming inside local jails and prisons.
