Frisky Cat Cafe - Take care of Cats!

Feed cats and clean at the Frisky Cat Café. As little as one shift per week can help feed a lot of little mouths and only takes around 90 minutes. Duties typically consist of feeding, litter box scooping, fresh water refills, medicating when applicable, and other light cleaning (sweeping/mopping/wiping down surfaces). Sporadic 'deep cleans’ are required since over time a lot of paws can track a lot of dirt, even though they’re all indoors. Share a shift with a friend or family member- everyone is welcome. Your first few shifts will shadow a veteran so you can learn our tips & tricks. Socialize cats at the Frisky Cat Café. Some of our cats are shy or scared after being abandoned (who wouldn’t be?). The more social they are, the faster they can be adopted. Since everyone is already fed, volunteers must be prepared for a lot of head butts & demands for snacks. Light duties such as belly rubs and cuddling are typically required.

Fostering kittens is a wonderful, heartwarming experience. You are giving the kittens you foster a chance for a new life, a loving life, a caring life that they would not have without fostering. Rescued cats come from all kinds of circumstances and need time in a loving home environment before they are ready to be adopted. Some are tiny orphans. Some are ill or injured. Some need surgery or are recovering from surgery. Some are pregnant. Some have been abandoned and have been living outdoors, doing the best they can to fend for themselves. There are a plenty of different needs for different cats and kittens that need assistance - but they all have one thing in common - they all need our help. They all need loving foster homes. And we need you so we can help them all. Small Lives Matter Kitten Rescue takes care of all the medical expenses for our foster kittens. Foster caregiver provides with food, litter, sometimes chauffeuring, and always the love. As a foster home, you will have an experienced foster caregiver guiding you and answer questions that may come up. From there, once adopted, they will join their new guardian family in their home forever. We will incorporate the knowledge you have gained from caring for your fosters and use that information about personality and preferences to do our best to ensure that the forever home is a good fit for that particular kitten. And you will know that the kittens you have been fostering will now have a life of love and care and comfort - because of you.

Small Lives Matter Kitten Rescue is a 501(c)3 Nonprofit charitable animal rescue organization. We are a foster based kitten rescue located in Ponte Vedra, Florida. Our rescue is committed to saving and finding homes for the thousands of vulnerable kitten orphans that will die without our life saving intervention. We advocate education for sterilization and surrender prevention to end the kitten cycle. Our rescue is devoted to homeless cats and kittens and providing the love and care they deserve.
